There's categories for everyone –

The Open Category (includes modifications, scratch building, as well as creating dioramas) and is for modelers who want to push their skills to the limit.

The Best SD/BB, Best HG 1/144, Best 1/100 No Grade /MG categories are for modelers who have still to venture into the complexities of remodeling. However points will be awarded for painting, decals, panel line work, building quality, and posing but no modifications or scratch building allowed).

Then there's a special DISPLAY ONLY CATEGORY and models in this Category are eligible for a PaniC Award (1st prize only) and a Peoples Choice Award (1st prize only). Any modeler who enters models into either the Open or Best Categories, cannot enter this Display Only Category.
