TOKYO UNDERGROUND
in association
with PAniC
are pleased to present
Western Australia’s first ever
Gundam Competition
to be held at
Wai-con,
The Perth Convention Centre
on Saturday 23rd January 2010.
It was Tokyo Underground’s first Gundam Competition, and we really did not know what to expect. We were blown away by the response, with a total of 28 entries ranging from a SD to a PG, with no duplicate entries.
As you can see from the pictures above, the standard of the models were of a very high standard.
With so many talented Gundam modellers out there, the Gundam Competition gave them the opportunity to display their models to the public. All entrants were in the running to win prizes in their particular categories, with 1st, 2nd and 3 prizes in all the categories.

You put a lot of hard work into the model and it showed. WELL DONE and THANK YOU for ENTERING your MODEL.
TOKYO UNDERGROUND WOULD ALSO LIKE TO OFFER CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE OTHER WINNERS.
ALSO CONGRATULATIONS to ALL ENTRANTS. THE STANDARD AND QUALITY OF THE MODELS ENTERED WAS OF A VERY HIGH STANARD, AND EVERYONE CAN BE PROUD OF THE MODEL THEY ENTERED.
All prizes were donated by Tokyo Underground, and although not everyone received a prize on the day, everyone was a winner. Friendships were made, and ideas and techniques were exchanged amongst the competitors.
Tokyo Underground would also like to thank the Gundam entrants for supporting this event, and making it such a success. We would also like to thank all those behind the scenes and in particular the PANic volunteers who helped out throughout the day. Lastly, we would like to thank the Judges.
The feedback on the day was so overwhelming, that I relented and YES we are doing it all AGAIN next Year.
You have now been given 12 months notice to get your models ready, so no excuses accepted. For all you modellers in the Eastern States, “SORRY” it will be held in Perth again.
If any one who attended on the day and who have pictures, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE email them to us at tokyo.underground@yahoo.com.au so we can send heaps of pics to Japan, and hopefully Bandai will sit up and take notice that we WANT an Australian National Competition.
LASTLY, this YEAR was our FIRST GUNDAM COMPETITION, so it CAN ONLY GET BIGGER and BETTER.
